How to use natural bleach on face

  • Potatoes are very effective natural bleaching agent. Slice thin pieces of potatoes, pour a few drops of water on its surface and then rub them gently on your skin. This will make your skin look lighter and younger.
  • Lemon also has skin lightening properties. Apply some lemon juice directly on your acne spots, either with hands or using a cotton bud. The citric acid in the juice would help clearing the spots. It will also remove dirt and clean your skin. But, people with sensitive skin should not use large quantities of lemon on their skin.
  • To make herbal bleach at home, grind a few carrots along with one tomato, one cucumber and some coriander. Add a few drops of lemon to it. Leave the mixture in fridge for about fifteen minutes. Apply it evenly on the face and neck, using finger tips or a brush. Allow it to dry and then wash it off with water. You can use this treatment at least once a week.

Naturally exfoliate your skin

  • Use steam to exfoliate your skin. It is an easy way to open up clogged pores and remove dead skin cells. Pour some boiling water in a kettle and put your face over the water. Cover your head with a towel. Do this for 10-15 minutes. You can add some herbs to the water, such as thyme, rosemary, lime or lavender. After this, apply a face pack or cream to close your open skin pores.
  • Make a paste by mixing honey, lemon juice and kosher salt. Use this as a scrub. It will help to exfoliate and sterilise your skin, naturally.
  • Make a mixture of gram flour and grinded almonds. This scrub will exfoliate your dead skin and renew its natural glow. If you have dry skin, then add some un-boiled milk to the mix.

Get naturally clean and radiant skin, instantly

  • Papaya makes your skin radiant and works like a magic on tanned skin. Mash a few pieces of a ripe papaya and apply the paste on your face for a few minutes. Then rinse it off with cold water. This will bring a nice glowing charm to your face.
  • Make a paste by mixing gram flour with turmeric powder. Add a few drops of lemon juice it, along with some yoghurt. Apply this mask evenly on your face and let it dry before rinsing it off. This pack will cleanse and tighten your skin.
  • Yoghurt works as a natural moisturiser for your skin. Apply some yoghurt on your face to make your skin soft and to restore its natural acidic blanket. It also helps your skin to fight signs of premature ageing.
  • If you have dry skin, then use aloe vera. Apply some aloe vera gel on your face to reduce blemishes and wrinkles. Its anti-oxidant properties help in repairing damaged skin cells and rejuvenating the skin.

How to make hair silkier

Egg – An egg is a remedy for hair that is dry, dull, damaged or frizzy. You can beat an egg and apply it evenly on your hair. Rinse and then apply conditioner. You could also mix an egg with your shampoo so that it does not smell too much. Another way to treat your hair is to mix a little bit of olive oil or baby oil with a well beaten egg. Mix a little water to dilute it and apply on the head. After about five to ten minutes, wash it thoroughly with shampoo and conditioner. Make sure that you use only lukewarm or cool water and never hot water. This will help your hair look healthy and beautiful.

Beer – Yes, beer! Little did you know that beer could actually do you some good. You can wash your hair with beer. It acts as a great conditioner making your hair soft and silky. Follow this once a week and your hair will have a shine to it that you will simply adore. more tips at link

Why do we need to restore ecosystems in National Parks?

Logging, grazing, mining, and other human activities have left a legacy of non-native vegetation, eroded soils, and altered fire patterns in our national parks. Some former park management techniques, such as fire suppression and elimination of predators, have led to declines in the integrity of the original ecosystems. In addition, invasive species, pollution, and climate change continuously threaten these systems. Mycorrhizal fungi extend from roots to provide vital plant nutrients while binding soil aggregates. (R.M. Miller) The goal of ecosystem restoration is not to replace a static picture of the past. Instead, the National Park Service works to remove the barriers to ecosystem recovery. These barriers include biological or chemical contaminants, drained wetlands, channelized rivers, alteration of fire patterns, or lack of species to re-populate areas of parks. Whole-ecosystem approaches to management ensure not only the survival of species and scenic vistas, but also allows these systems to continuously evolve and change.

What is Ecosystem Restoration?

When you visit a park and reflect on the trees, rocks, landscapes, and incredible views, you are viewing and appreciating ecosystems. Ecosystems are collections of plants, animals, and micro-organisms interacting among themselves and with their habitat. While most ecosystems are hard to define and draw rigid boundaries around, scientists characterize them by their rock and soil types, by water features such as streams and ponds, and by the common plant and animal species which make their homes within these areas.

What is Ecosystem Management?

Ecosystem management brings an integrated perspective to natural resource management. It takes a “big-picture” approach, replacing short term, single species management with multi-species, long-term and large-scale approaches. For example, instead of managing for deer and elk to maximize viewing opportunities, the National Park Service manages for the entire ecosystem, considering not only deer, elk and other herbivore populations, but also vegetation, water flow, and predators and rare species. Ecosystem management also recognizes the influence of natural disturbances such as fire and windstorms, accepting that natural ecosystems are dynamic and change over time.

What is Ecosystem

An ecosystem includes all of the living things (plants, animals and organisms) in a given area, interacting with each other, and also with their non-living environments (weather, earth, sun, soil, climate, atmosphere).

In an ecosystem, each organism has its' own niche, or role to play.

Consider a small puddle at the back of your home. In it, you may find all sorts of living things, from microorganisms, to insects and plants. These may depend on non-living things like water, sunlight, turbulence in the puddle, temperature, atmospheric pressure and even nutrients in the water for life.

This very complex, wonderful interaction of living things and their environment, has been the foundations of energy flow and recycle of carbon and nitrogen.

Anytime a ‘stranger’ (living thing(s) or external factor such as rise in temperature) is introduced to an ecosystem, it can be disastrous to that ecosystem. This is because the new organism 9or factor) can distort the natural balance of the interaction and potentially harm or destroy the ecosystem.

Usually, biotic members of an ecosystem, together with their abiotics factors depend on each other. This means the absence of one member, or one abiotic factor can affect all parties of the ecosystem.

Unfortunately ecosystems have been disrupted, and even destroyed by natural disasters such as fires, floods, storms and volcanic eruptions. Human activities have also contributed to the disturbance of many ecosystems and biomes

What is Bollywood, The Bollywood Film Industry often called as Hindi film Industry

Bollywood is the name given to Indian movies made by many film studios in the Indian city of Bombay. So this word, coined in the 1970s, comes from a word game between Bombay and Hollywood, the center of the film industry in the United States. While some purists do not like the use of the word, considering that indicates a parody of Hollywood, this word has become known worldwide and is already formally in the OED. The assembly formed by Bollywood and films in languages like Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Kannada (kannada) and Malayalam are the core of the film industry in India. Bollywood is a cornerstone of popular culture in India and the rest of the Indian subcontinent. Makes interesting Bollywood films are the musical scenes. In almost every film includes songs and dances of the country, mixed with interesting choreography of Western pop. Bollywood is typical of the tradition of the film industry, which first recorded the scenes and then bend all the dialogue (a practice that facilitates also the subsequent translation into other languages), which in India (country plurilinguistic, where 16 different languages are spoken widely spread) is essential. The music tracks from Bollywood films are often produced by well known artists. Among them are some famous Asian and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, or West as Andrew Lloyd Weber. It is customary for the music of a film is released to the market months before the release of the film. It is a way to promote the film, that this is expected with interest by the public.

Site does not comply with Google policies - AdSense Application Disapproved

Many new bloggers and webmasters are finding it very difficult to get in to the AdSense system. Google has been very strict on reviewing the websites for quality and adherence to the AdSense policies. They even went live with a Limited AdSense Accounts for Host Partner Sites in order to further improve the quality of their Ad network.

Let us come back to the subject. One of the primary reasons why Google reject many AdSense applications is, the site does not comply with Google Policies. When the application is submitted, Google will do a manual review of the site on which the AdSense will be used. If they find the website violate some of their policies, they will respond with a message which look like this:
Issues:

Site does not comply with Google policies

Further detail:

Site does not comply with Google policies: We're unable to approve your AdSense application at this time because we feel that your site does not comply with Google AdSense policies or webmaster quality guidelines. It's our goal to provide our advertisers sites that offer rich and meaningful content, receive organic traffic, and allow us to serve well-targeted ads to users. We believe that currently your site does not fulfill this criteria.

Let us analyze why Google reject applications with this reason. Google wants to make sure the AdSense Ads are displayed only on sites that meet certain quality criteria to make sure the overall quality of its ad network is not affected by some low quality sites.

How to comply with AdSense policies and get your AdSense application approved

The solution to this problem may be different for different sites. To get your AdSense application approved, first thing you need to take care is, don't rush with an appeal. Take a few weeks to analyze your site and check what may have gone wrong. Google does not tell you exactly what is the reason for disapproval but a careful analysis by yourself can tell you what is wrong with your site.

Here is a checklist which you can use to inspect your site and look for Google AdSense policy compliance:

Do you have too many other Ads? Your website may not look very impressive to Adsense reviewers when your site is filled with Ads. After all, it won't give a good user experience when there are more ads than content. Reduce the number of ads or completely remove third party Ads before you appeal your AdSense application rejection.

Your site should have original content. Have you reproduced any articles, images or other resources from other sources? Remove them all and make sure what you have in your site is your own original content. Most people think taking images from Google search results is fine, but that is not the case.

Did many other sites copied your content? Google may misunderstand that you copied from others. So, file DMCA complaint and get the copied content removed.

Does your site provide information on jailbreaking, hacking, pornography, license cracking, illegal downloads, torrents, gossips etc? Google is not very keen on such content and it is better you get rid of them to impress the Google reviewers.

Is your site too new? Wait atleast 6 months before you apply for AdSense since that is one of the requirements for getting AdSense approved in some countries like India and China.

What is your source of traffic? If majority of your traffic is not organic, you may have a tough time getting an AdSense application approved. Try doing some SEO and online marketing to improve your organic traffic. Or, wait until your website or blog start getting some natural traffic. Also, to comply with AdSense policies, your site should not be receiving traffic from sources like paid-to-click programs, spammy bulk emails etc

Do you use lot of frames and iFrames in your webpages? As per Google terms and conditions, you cannot place AdSense Ads within frames. If they see lot of frames your website, they may not approve your applications and you might end up getting the reason "Site does not comply with Google policies"

Does your site have a privacy policy? Google requirea you to have a privacy policy for your site that discloses that "third parties may be placing and reading cookies on your users' browsers, or using web beacons to collect information as a result of ad serving on your website.". If you don't have a privacy policy for your site, create one and link to the page from the bottom of all pages of your site.

Do you have an "About Us" page? If not, you should add one and explain the people/organization behind the website. Google does not like to deal with anonymous webmasters. Include your photo, give an office address with some contact information to add credibility to your website.

Is there an option to contact the blogger/webmaster? Add some contact information either in the form of phone number/email/address or provide a Form to contact.

How much traffic your website receive? I have seen people complaining that my AdSense application was rejected even though my blog is popular and receive 100 visitors per day. Please understand that Google wants to do business only with serious webmasters and bloggers. Just 100 or 1000 visitors per day is not a significant number for Google to offer its AdSense services. I recommend you wait until your website start receiving a few thousand visitors per day before you resubmit your application.

Are you involved in lot of link building through blog commenting and submitting to hundreds of directories? Google likes to see natural links and any attempts to improve your sites ranking with the help of unnatural links will be considered as link spam. Try sticking to the organic SEO and focus on your readers instead of search engines.

You can read the complete AdSense Program Policies and make sure your site comply with all the requirements.

One of the important things to note is, don't hurry to submit an appeal as soon as you make one or two changes. Instead, spend several days going through various pages of your site and also checking against the AdSense policies and make sure your site comply with each and every requirement.

My site complies with all AdSense policies, but still disapproved

This is one of the common complaints from many publishers. Their application was rejected by Google even though they believe their site fully meets all policy requirements. There are many possibilities:

1. Google reviewers may have misunderstood some aspects of your site and thought you are in violation of some policies.

2. Google reviewers may have found some violations that you may have missed.

3. If you are participating in revenue sharing sites like Techulator, IndiaStudyChannel etc, the host site may have certain violations that is beyond your control to resolve.

4. Google may have some reasons to disapprove your application but they don't want to tell you the exact reason, so chose to give a very generic reason. One of the possibilities is, you may have had another AdSense account in the past which was disapproved later. Google does not allow anyone to have another AdSense account if one account was disapproved in the past. In this case, your only option is to depend on someone else to apply for an AdSense account and you use his account with his permission to monetize your online inventory. You may have to make some arrangements to receive revenue from the other person who own the AdSense account.

How to keep your Google AdSense Account in good standing

Nowadays, lot of people are making money online through various ways like blogging. It is always the best choice to choose Google AdSense to make money online via its advertising program. Publishers can be anyone, you, me or any other person. One needs to work hard to get approval from Google to have Google AdSense Account. There are many rules, regulations and policies that must be followed by every publisher to keep his Google AdSense account safe and have it in approved state as long as they want it. The moment publisher starts violating rules or policies of Google AdSense, Google takes serious actions against that publisher. Sometimes, publisher may have to lose his Google AdSense Account as Google may disable the account.

Google AdSense: Common Policies and Guidelines

There are ten common Guidelines and Policies of Google AdSense which are commonly violated by new users/publishers of Google AdSense. So, it is advisable to stick with these rules and keep your Google AdSense safe and remain in approved state. The moment you find anything wrong, you should contact Google to be on safer side and you can save your Google AdSense account. So, follow the below mentioned policies and guidelines to have long lasting approval of Google AdSense account.

  • Never click on your Google AdSense ads. Otherwise, monitoring systems by Google AdSense will track your activities and put you in trouble. Sometimes, you may be interested in seeing what is being displayed in your website as Google AdSense ads, but you are not supposed to click on it to see what is linked to that ad. If you still want to see the content linked to that ad, you can type that URL into new address bar and you will be on safer side. This is the safest way to know what is there in your Google AdSense ads.

  • Do not invite anybody to click on your ads which will lead to Click Bombing. Google AdSense Monitoring System is smarter than you. Once it identifies pattern of Click Bombing, it will start very careful observation of your account and in case of bad violation of policies of Google AdSense, you will be given disapproval from Google AdSense and your AdSense account may be disabled. Do not ever try to click from other IP address PCs and other networks, and also instruct your family members not to do click bombing on your ads.

  • Choose the location of ads in your website aptly to avoid accidental clicks by visitor. You are not required to force them to see what is in ads by making them click on it. Rather, you should place ads in location which is remote from page controls and some of the confusing figures. If you have written article about T-shirts making process, you will be given image ads of T-shirts by Google AdSense. Normally visitors may be confused by placement of ads near images of your article. So, do not try to confuse Google AdSense as well as visitors. Instead, try to place ads in proper places.

  • Do not use prohibited content in your article or website. Google policies are very strict in this area. Do not put content related to porn matter, copyrighted matter, violent or gambling content. If prohibited content is found on website, Google AdSense will immediately take action against that Google AdSense account and it will disable it.

  • Always use content which is relevant and genuine. Copy-Paste activity from any other website is not allowed by Google AdSense. It is better to use genuine content to increase organic traffic to your website or blog. This will help you to build reputation of your website or blog.

  • Do not try to alter ad code generated by Google AdSense. This is strictly prohibited by Google AdSense and do not try to change layout, targeting ads and behavior of ads. You need to only put the ads simply but not permitted to alter the code of Google AdSense.

  • Reply Google AdSense genuinely when you are given notice from Google AdSense for violation of Google AdSense policies. Try to correct the mistake and assure Google AdSense that the mistake will not be repeated in future. Google AdSense will keep record of your violations of Google AdSense policies.

  • Report strange actvities immediately. If you find any strange activity or changes in your Google AdSense account, immediately contact Google AdSense about it, otherwise action will be taken against you. So, it is better to tell the truth behind strange activities.

  • Do not try to use Google Trademarks. Do not copy and use it in your website without prior permission from Google.

  • Never use pop-up prompts or any software to increase Google AdSense revenue by cheating the Google AdSense and visitors.

  • Follow the rules/policies/guidelines and keep your Google AdSense account safe and approved for long time.

I haven't received the AdSense Pin yet. What to do next?

It is one of the frequent queries I get from my web circle: "I haven't received my AdSense Pin yet. I tried several times and Google says they sent it. It never reached me through post. I have my address and all details correct in the Google AdSense".

It has been a problematic area for Google AdSense to send the Pin and get the AdSense account verified. Google introduced this postal pin verification several years ago to make sure the account owner has provided the correct postal address and is not an anonymous person. However, in the past few years, I have seen numerous complaints from AdSense users that they never received the Pin that Google claims to have sent.

If you take a look at the Google AdSense forums, you will see that a lot of people are raising the same complaint. There is no solid evidence on why many people are not getting the Pin.

When does Google send you a Pin to verify your address

Google will send you a Pin by post only after you reach $10 minimum threshold. So, if your account has not yet reached that amount, don't even worry about the pin.

After you reach the $10 balance, Google will issue you a pin mailer within 1 week. According to Google, it will take another 4-5 weeks to reach you. So, if a pin is just generated for you, don't get panic. It may take about a month to reach you.

Pin never reached, even after 4-5 weeks

Okay, if you don't get the pin after 4-5 weeks, there must be something wrong. Your first troubleshooting option is, make sure you address is correct in your AdSense account. If needed, add landmarks and additional information to the address to make sure the postman/courier people can locate your address. Make sure you have entered the phone number, postal code and landmarks along with your address.

Now, make a request to resend the pin, which can be done using the option you can find in the "Account Settings" section of your AdSense account. Google will allow you to request a new pin 4 weeks after you made your last request.

You can request to resend pin a maximum of 2 times, after the initial issue of pin by Google. Since each request can be done only once in 4 weeks, it may take up to 3 months before you can run out of options to request pin. But don't worry, you have 6 months time to verify your address from the date of issuing the first pin. (If you don't get your AdSense account verified during this 6 months, Google will stop showing Ads from your account)

Verify your address using identity card and other official address proof

Google prefer to verify your address by sending a pin by mail, which is the most reliable way to verify an account. If a postman can reach your address that you used in the AdSense account, that confirms that you have provided a genuine address. However, in the worst scenario of you not receiving any of the 3 pins sent by Google, there are additional options.

If you request the pin 3 times but never received any of them, login to your AdSense account and look at the "Account Settings" section. You will see additional instructions from Google asking you to verify the account using through other channels. The additional options include submitting copy of official identity card to Google.

Here is the PIN troubleshooter form, which can be used to submit an official identification document like passport, drivers license etc to Google to verify your address without a pin. However, if you submit it before you run out of your 3 pin requests, it may not be accepted.

What kind of documents are acceptable for address verification

Google has not published any list of documents that are acceptable as address verification, other than saying 'official documents'. As a general practice, the following documents are acceptable as address proof in USA (where Google employees sit and review your documents)

    1. Drivers license (this is the most common way of address verification in USA)

    2. Rental agreement

    3. House/apartment registration document

    4. Passport

The following documents are usually considered secondary/support documents and should be used only if you don't have any of the above documents.

    5. Bank statement

    6. Election Id (India)

    7. Unique Id (Aadhar card in India)

NOTE: The document you attach for address verification should have your name and address, exactly matching the information you have provided in your AdSense account.

Also, it is a good idea to upload more than one document, just to make it easier to convince the reviewer, especially if there is a slight mismatch in address.

    Phone verification

Phone verification is available only for AdSense publishers from the following countries:

    1. China
    2. France
    3. Germany
    4. Italy
    5. Spain
    6. UK
    7. USA
    8. Canada

How to deal with AdSense Click Bombing

Click bombing is one of the biggest nightmares for many AdSense publishers. To maintain the high quality of their AdSense network, Google monitors all click activities very closely and take strict action against the publishers who click on their own Ads or encourage others to click. Since Google pays per click, many new publishers are tempted to click on the Ads themselves to see few extra dollars in their AdSense account. But Google has very sophisticated systems to track such clicks and if you are caught, your AdSense account will be disabled.

If you look at the popular webmaster forums and Google's official forum for AdSense, numerous people have reported that they lost their AdSense for invalid activity like repeated clicks on their AdSense Ads. Most of them claim that they never clicked on their Ads but it was someone else doing it intentionally doing it with the intention of getting their AdSense disabled (which is called "click bombing", if that term sounds Greek to you).

How to deal with Click Bombing on AdSense account

The best option is to avoid chances of click bombing, but you can't completely avoid it. Here are some AdSense tips to deal with click bombing:

Always keep an eye on your AdSense reports and monitor the clicks and CTR. If you see any unusual activity like too many clicks in a short period of time, pay close attention to it. Are they keep increasing? Is it happening in short intervals?

If the number of clicks are unusually high and if it continues, it indicates someone is repeatedly clicking on your Ads and most probably his intention is to get your AdSense disabled. It could be one of your competitors or someone could be doing it for no reason.

There are few things you can do to protect your AdSense:

Option 1. Remove AdSense Ads temporarily from your account so that there will be no Ads for them to click on.

Option 2: Keep the Ads but login to your AdSense account and remove your site from the list of authorized sites to show Ads.

I suggest you use the second option for many reasons. In case of option 1, when you remove the Ads, the person will know you have removed the Ads. He would stop the work but would come back and repeat it when you put the Ads back. In case of Option 2, he will never know you have unauthorized Ads in the site since he will continue to see the Ads as usual. He will keep clicking but the clicks are not counted by Google and so your site is safe from getting disabled. The click bombers will eventually get tired and without seeing any results, they would stop trying (hopefully).

What to do if invalid activity is confirmed

As I mentioned above, the first step is, un-authorize your site in AdSense so that your clicks will not be counted. Next step is, to gather all possible information about the invalid activity since Google will ask you for that information.

    1. Record the date and time of the invalid activity.

    2. Analyze your Google Analytics (or other stats) and look for suspicious traffic. Record the IP address of suspicious visits to various pages which recorded invalid clicks. (If you have created url channels and custom channels, you will be able to figure out which pages received click bombing)

    3. See if you can figure out from where the suspicious request came from. I have seen cases some bloggers have posted a public thread in a forum saying "Site X copied my content and not responding to me when I asked them to remove the content. Can you all go and click on his AdSense Ads so that it will get disabled?". Check out if you can trace the origin of the clicks to any such sources.

Once you gather all such information, prepare to report the activity to Google.

How to report click bombing to Google

If you have found that there were lot of invalid clicks, it is a good idea to report it to Google so that Google will know that you are not the culprit. But before you go to Google, make sure you are following all the policies and guidelines from Google. You may not want Google to find that you are violating some of the AdSense policies. When you report invalid activity to Google, there is a chance that Google AdSense team will review your site and check how cause of invalid activity. To be on the safer side, make sure your site comply with all AdSense policies and quality guidelines.

Once you are ready to report click bombing or invalid activity to Google, go to Invalid Clicks Contact Form and provide all the information.

AdSense shows high CTR, CPC and RPM. Should I be concerned?

I have seen a lot of people raising concerns on high CPC and RPM in their AdSense earnings. I know everyone like higher CPC and higher revenue from their blogs but what people are concerned is possible click bombing.

Since Google has been taking strict action against AdSense account owners for fake clicks, many people started using that to get their competitors in to trouble. There are several cases of click bombing reported and many genuine AdSense account owners lost their AdSense account because someone else repeatedly clicked on their Ads (with the intention of getting the AdSense account disabled by Google).

For the same reason, if the genuine AdSense account owners see unusual click rate in their AdSense reports, they start getting concerned about potential click bombing. I have seen numerous posts from people reporting that they see unusual data in their AdSense reports and ask how to deal with it. However, in most cases, such reports are normal and there were no need to be concerned.

Unusual stats on a small sample of data is normal

If you look at the daily earning report on an early morning, you might notice unusual data. There is nothing wrong but the small samples could always be like that. Let us analyze some of the common concerns:

High CPC: Many people report that they are seeing very high CPC today in their AdSense account. CPC is the Cost Per Click and it just depends on how much the advertiser is willing to pay per click for the Ad. In general, it is beyond your control. There is absolutely no need to be concerned about high CPC. If you are worried about low CPC, then read some AdSense tips to improve your AdSense CPC.

High CTR: High CTR is something that need to be concerned and could be a sign of click bombing, but not always. If you see high CTR, he question is, what is the reporting period you are looking at and what is the total number of clicks in the report.

If you have a small blog and if you are talking about just a few clicks per day, the CTR can vary a lot. For example, consider a very small blog which gets 100 visits per day. One day, there could be just one click (1% CTR) and another day there could 5 clicks (5% CTR). In this case, the CTR is significantly different each day.

But if you have a very popular blog with thousands of visitors each day, your average clicks per day wouldn't change significantly. If your CTR is 2% today, it would remain pretty much the same everyday.

But if you look at a single day's report during the beginning of the day, it could vary significantly. For example, you may have certain type of content, which have very high chances of clicks due to relevant ads. And consider such content happen to be visited by people in USA more than any other countries, which matches the timezone of AdSense reporting timezone. If you look at your report in the beginning of the reporting day, you will see higher CTR since the content which has the higher CTR possibility is visited by the people during that time.

You need to start worrying about high CTR only if:

    - The high CTR trend continues for some time and not just for the beginning of the day.
    - The CTR varies significantly (change from 2% to 2.5% is not a matter of concern, but change from 2% to 4% for a large sample is something that need to be worried)

If you have a small blog with a few hundred visitors per day, the CTR can vary significantly, which could be normal. But if you have a very popular blog with thousands of visitors per day, your CTR should remain pretty much consistent.

High RPM: RPM simply means how much is the average revenue for 1000 impressions. For most people, the RPM is $1 to $5, depending on the region, type of content, nature of the site etc.

However, if you look at a very small sample of data, you could see unusual stats for the RPM.

Just like the CTR, if you look at the stats when the day starts, most of the accounts will show such unusual reports. For example, consider someone click on the ad on the first impression on the day and assume it got 0.50$ CPC. Now, your stats for the day will look like this:

    CPC: $0.50
    CTR: 100%
    RPM: $500

When it reaches 10 impressions (with no additional clicks), your stats will change to:

    CPC: $0.50
    CTR: 10%
    RPM: $50

When it reaches 100 impressions (with no additional clicks), your stats will change to:

    CPC: $0.50
    CTR: 5%
    RPM: $5

This is an example of how weird the stats can be if you look at a very small sample of data. You need to start getting nervous only if similar data is shown for larger samples.

Unusual data in your Google AdSense reports: When to start worried?

As I mentioned above, it is quite normal to see some unusual reports if you look at a very small sample or if you look at the reports for the same day. You need to start worrying about click bombing and invalid activity only if the trend continues for some time and only if you have at least 1 full day report, with this exception: If you see a unusually high number of clicks during a short period of time, it could be a sign of invalid activity. For example, if you are receiving average 100 clicks per day but you already received 50 clicks during the first few hours of the day, then it could be something that you need to be worried.

The most important piece of data to look at is the number of clicks during a short time and not the CTR or RPM along. If you suspect click bombing and see suspicious activity, follow the report very closely and see how fast the number of clicks go up.

The best way to deal with invalid activity is to keep your AdSense account in good standing. If you suspect click bombing, then it is important to protect your account. Learn how to handle invalid clicks and deal with click bombing.

How to increase AdSense CPC: Some AdSense Tips for you

CPC is a term that is familiar to everyone who use Ads to monetize their online content. It stands for Cost Per Click

Tips to improve the AdSense CPC

Many publishers have reported that their CPC has gone down suddenly after giving high rates consistently for several months. Possible reason is, some advertisers have been targeting your site and the campaign ended recently.

If your traffic and overall revenue increases but CPC is going down, then it is possible that you are getting more traffic in the low CPC content and it reduced your average CPC. But as long as your overall revenue increases, you don't need to worry about the changes in cost per click.

Read further to learn the factors that affect Google AdSense CPC and learn some tips to improve your CPC and overall revenue.

Placement targeted ads for best CPC

Placement targeted ads are always higher CPC ads compared to the regular ads. One of the best ways to increase your AdSense CPC is, encourage AdWords advertisers to consider your site for placement targeted ads. Losing a targeted advertiser for a site is one of the main reasons for the CPC to go down suddenly in many sites.

Location or country of the visitors

One of the most important factors that influence AdSense CPC is the country your visitors are from. Advertisers spend a lot in developed countries like USA, Canada, UK etc and pay too low in countries like India, China, Pakistan etc. The CPC of your Ads depends on how much the advertisers bid for the ads. Since the advertisers have budget in developed countries, a click from those countries could give significantly high CPC. For example, many clicks from countries like USA or UK could get you anywhere between $1 to $5 but majority of the clicks from India, China etc would get you less than 10 cents.

One of the best ways to improve your AdSense CPC is to get more traffic and visitors from countries like USA, Canada, UK etc. Try writing content on topics that target the countries which offer higher CPC. For example, if you write about 'Best smartphones in USA', you have higher chances of getting visitors from USA than writing on the topic 'Best smartphones in India'. Identify topics interesting to visitors from developed countries and write publish great articles on those topics and your CPC is sure to go high.

Here is a list of countries I found to be giving the best CPC in some of my websites:

    New Zealand

    Norway

    Australia

    Canada

    United Kingdom

    United States

    Singapore

    Ireland

    Netherlands

    Germany

    Finland

    France

    Italy

    Switzerland

I made up this list by looking at various stats and reports, however, it can vary by the niche, quality of the site and so many other parameters. In general, the countries listed above come in the top 20 paying countries for most niche and sites.

    Niche of your blog

As you are aware, the cost for each click is determined by the advertiser. If there is more competition, then it goes into an auction system where advertisers offer more and more money per click to get their Ads appear in the relevant sites. Some type of content like healthcare products, automobiles, gadgets etc have very high competition among advertisers on the web. This naturally increases results in higher bid by everyone in the auction system, resulting in high CPC.

If your blog belong to a high competition niche, you will get higher CPC. If your focus is to improve the CPC, then it is a good idea to focus on keywords, topics and niche that has high competition and high demand on the web.

However, please be aware that just having high competition alone will not result in high CPC. Think about the money the advertisers are willing to pay. If there is more money involved, then there will higher CPC. Automobiles, health products, gadgets, insurance etc are typical examples of high paid ads. But topics like job search, people search etc may have high demand but have very low CPC since the readers of such topics are not really potential customers of any major products and so the money spent by advertisers in those niche are not too high.

    Section Targeting

Section Targeting allows you to indicate to Google about which part of your page is to be considered for contextual targeting of Ads. For example, if you have sidebars and menu that has completely irrelevant content, you may want to exclude those parts by using section targeting so that your AdSense ads will be more relevant to the primary content of the page rather than matching the content with the text in sidebars. By using section targeting, you can get more relevant Ads for your content, which in turn will give higher CPC.

Image Ads could give higher CPC on certain topics

Are you using text only or image/rich media only ads? Even though rich media ads have relatively higher CPC, your average CTR could be much higher if you select for both. I have personally observed that Text & Image/rich media ads give better revenue than using either one type of ads in technology related niche since many advertisers prefer to showcase their products through rich media ads. However, in case of education related topics, I have observed text ad units bring higher revenue because of the higher click-through-rate, even though the CPC is lower. It is hard to generalize which ad types would be beneficial for you in your niche. The best approach is, try text only, image only and text/image combination for few days and see which one brings you higher overall revenue.

NOTE: Do not go by just higher CPC. Instead, look at the overall revenue. Even if certain experiments show higher CPC, if the CTR is low in those cases, your overall revenue will be lower.

    Placement/location of AdSense ads

Placement can significantly affect the CTR. There are cases where the placement affects the CPC as well. If your ads are placed above the fold and in important places, chances of getting placement targeted ads relatively high, which will in turn increase your CPC.

Placement of Ads can impact the CPC in other ways too. The ads shown in your site may change according to the text near which the ad units are placed. If you placed your ads near high paid keywords, your CPC could go up since the ads appearing there will be higher paid ads because of their proximity to high paying keywords.

Write on hot topics and newly launched products

When a new product is launched, there are online shops and other advertisers target more on those products. For example, when Samsung Galaxy S4 is launched and is available in the market, many online shops may want to promote that product and so they will be targetting related keywords. If you have a lot of content related to such topics, during that time, you may fetch a high CPC from the Ads in those pages.

Impact of ad size on CPC

Try different ad sizes. If you are using rectangle ad units, you can sizes like 336x280, 300x250 etc, which will fit in to the same layout. Typically, the ad sizes will not affect the CPC. However, there are certain sizes which are the favorites of many advertisers and such units will have higher CPC because of the higher competition.

In my case, the following sizes give higher CPC, in the given order:
    300x250 (text and image ads)

    336x280 (text ads)

    728x90 (text and image ads)

Try different ad sizes in your site. Try both 336x280 and 300x250 for few days and see which one gives higher CPC and higher CTR.

Impact of number of ad units used

The number of ad units used per page has no direct impact but there are various ways it could indirectly influence the CPC. If you have too many ad blocks in your site, advertisers may want to avoid your site and so you will lose the chances of getting placement targeted ads. Placement targeted ads always give higher rates and losing them would result in lower rates from your ads.

    Try different options

I shared several tips that work for most AdSense publishers, but not every blog is the same. Some tips that worked for my blog may not work for you. You must keep experimenting different options, placements, ad sizes etc and figure out which one works best for you.
